Photo A Day: White

Remember the clear light, the pure clear white light from which everything in the universe comes, to which everything in the universe returns; the original nature of your own mind. The natural state of the universe unmanifest. Let go into the clear light, trust it, merge with it. It is your own true nature, it is home -Tibetan Book of the Dead

After searching for something white the whole day, I took this pic right now from my window, its the light on our boundary wall. I know I am not much of a photographer but by following this prompt I have something to look forward to everyday and its also a great way to be an active blogger. Thanks for bearing with me all this while. I hope I’ll soon be able to write the way I used to. 🙂

Photo A Day: Here Forever

I used to wake up to the view of Himalayas every morning, walk thorough those uneven paths, dance to the tunes of local songs, love and live life in my small hilly town. Those memories of childhood never leave my mind. I left home back in 2005, with tears in my eyes, and remorse in my heart, I bid my place goodbye. The career I’ve chosen forbids me to go back, the tiny rural place has no scope for bio-technologists. But every time I see or hear of people going there, I want to run and take the first bus home. I want to breathe that fresh air, smell rain drenched soil, and burnt wood, pluck fresh fruits from our backyard garden, stare at those stars in the endless sky. I want to stop worrying about my studies, job, love, life and everything else and just stay there forever- happily amidst greenery, calm and peace.

Photo A Day: My Name Begins With…

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw today’s word was Microscope. I seriously wanted to get a pic of a microscope, firstly because it begins with M, and secondly because it goes well with the name of my blog (pseudomonaz as seen through the microscope) but luck wasn’t on my side and sadly I am gonna use a picture I clicked many days back, the picture of a moon.

The only two similarities between me and the Moon are: Our names begin with M, and we both have scars on our face. Haha…. 🙂

Well, on a much more serious note, I read this quote somewhere,

“The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”

And I feel that, somehow these lines define me… I may not be perfect, but my life is beautiful with all these imperfections. 🙂

Photo A Day: Together

Now that my writing skills have failed miserably, I’ve decided to participate in the September Photo A Day Challenge, just to mark my presence here in WordPress. I really miss this place, and I really really miss writing. I am hoping to be back in form, by participating in this photo challenge. Pratiksha is the one who gave me this idea. She has really done a good job in the August photo challenge. You should definitely check out her blog. 🙂

When she told me that today’s word was “together”, I was thinking to give up. I really had no picture that would suit the word. Luckily though, today itself I got to know of this small pond in our campus. As the library was closed I thought of going to see the pond. As soon as I was there, it started raining, and from a corner of the pond this flock of ducks started paddling to the steps. The first word that came to my mind as I saw them was “together”. I took out my phone and clicked this picture. I couldn’t get a better view as it was raining. It was a beautiful moment. The rains, the pond, the ducks, all with me as I was standing alone below a tree. For a moment I was transported back to my village- all those beautiful memories in my mind.

Together with nature, life seemed to be so much more beautiful.
